Class Posh Penelope

Class meets August 19 & 26, 2026 from 10 am - 1 pm. 

In this informative 2-session class, Marietta will take the mystery out of piecing curved blocks as she guides you through your very own scrap buster quilt project!  Posh Penelope finishes at 69x80 inches.  Intermediate level. 

In an effort to keep classes affordable, we ask that you purchase all supplies and materials from We're in Stitches.  Before purchasing materials, check to make sure that the class minimum of 3 students has been met. Students are eligible for a 10% discount on supplies purchased for class; online customers should make a note at checkout listing name of class and which items apply to have the discount applied manually.

By signing up for a class, you agree to in-class photography, which we use on our social media to promote the We're in Stitches class experience to others.

Supplies needed:

Posh Penelope quilt pattern

(168) 6 1/2" x 7" assorted fabrics for the petals--this is different from the pattern, but easier! (You can bring a box or bag of the scraps you have and trade in class, if you like.)

(42) 5" x 10" assorted fabrics and (42) 6" x 6" assorted fabrics for the diamonds between the flowers

(42) 14" x 20" assorted background fabrics (or 6 1/4 yards of one background fabric)

1/2 yard coordinating binding

45mm rotary cutter (no smaller)  with small cutting mat (rotating mat can be helpful)

Quick Curve Ruler

Sew Square 6 Ruler

Small gridded rotary cutting ruler

Sewing machine in good working order, with foot pedal and power cord

1/4" quilting foot

Neutral or matching thread

Small scissors for trimming

Straight pins

Frixion pen

Extra bobbins, needles, seam ripper, and other basic notions

Small iron and pressing mat--you will be ironing a lot!

Lunch or snack to eat during class
